Making Continuous Improvements in Workplace Safety
Liberty views safety as a collective responsibility. We are proud of our culture, where all team members know that others have their backs — whether in the field, shop, or office.
Prioritizing On-Site Safety
We are dedicated to upholding rigorous safety protocols to ensure the well-being of our employees, customers, and contractors. When it comes to on-site operations, we are continuously enhancing safety through both digital and physical measures, including:
- Revamping our SSE program to include progressive testing, keeping protocols fresh for every hitch.
- Introducing user-friendly applications for seamless reporting of potential hazards, unsafe behaviors, and safe practices.
- Installing advanced camera systems to enhance visibility across sites.
- Mandating the presence of fire suppression units at every location.
At Liberty, we believe it is important to safeguard the environment and protect the health and safety of our personnel wherever and whenever we conduct our business operations. We also seek to affiliate with other businesses that recognize the importance of preserving the environment and protecting the health and safety of their employees and anyone else with whom they interact.

Training
Comprehensive training, often in a team environment, helps ensure that the Liberty team can adeptly navigate the intricacies of day-to-day operations. Liberty works to continuously evaluate and expand our health, safety, and training programs. These efforts include improving alignment with our customers and vendors through ongoing communication and participating in industry working groups to share best practices.
Our Mobile Safety Trailer allows us to offer in-person instruction for our employees on location to provide quick training sessions before the start of a shift, reinforcing or updating previous classroom training. Liberty’s Maintenance Training Department classes include upfront training on safety processes and give an introduction to the maintenance leadership team and shop layout. By combining courses and classroom training, we equip our technicians with the necessary knowledge to make better decisions in risk assessment situations.
Motor Vehicle Safety
We put millions of miles on our fleet of vehicles every year, making driving the highest-risk activity that we undertake. Early adoption of electronic logs, driver monitoring and driver coaching in the cabs of all our heavy vehicles has helped ensure Liberty maintains strong Department of Transportation (DOT) scores and remains in compliance with all DOT scoring areas.
